Why 500 mm, and will it take a usable basin?
500 mm is the width that makes a UK cloakroom work: it clears the door swing in a room that is often only 900–1000 mm wide, and it is narrow enough to sit beside the WC without crowding it. The basin is a full-depth white ceramic bowl set flush into the top rather than a reduced cloakroom-only insert, so it is genuinely usable for hand washing — which is the whole point of the room. If your programme needs a slightly wider unit for a family en-suite, the same fluted front is tooled at 600 mm and 800 mm, so all three widths can be combined in a single order at a 20-piece MOQ per model.
What makes the carcass suitable for a small, poorly ventilated UK cloakroom?
The carcass is moisture-sealed plywood with sealed interior and back panels and sealed edge banding on every panel edge, rather than particleboard. In a small UK cloakroom or en-suite the humidity has nowhere to go, and an unsealed cut edge is the first thing to swell and delaminate — which is exactly what generates warranty claims and returns in this size band. Sealing the edges is a small cost at our end and it is the difference between a unit that survives a decade and one that fails in the second winter.
Is the tap included, and what drilling does the top come with?
The top is drilled as standard for a UK-standard mono mixer on a single-tap deck, so your customer can fit the tap they already sell. A brushed brass mono mixer in the same tone as the drawer handles can be supplied on the same order for finish matching, and if your programme uses a different drilling pattern tell us before production and we cut it to your market standard. Because the top is engineered stone, the hole is cut and polished in the factory, so there is no chipping risk at the rim and no on-site stone work.
How does the wall-hung fixing work, and what does the fitter need?
The unit hangs on a concealed steel bracket supplied with every order, so nothing is visible once it is up and the floor stays clear. The wall behind must be capable of taking the loaded weight — a masonry wall, or a stud wall with suitable reinforcement behind the cabinet position. We supply a fixing guide with each order that states the weight, the bracket position and the minimum fixing specification, so the installer can plan the wall before the unit arrives rather than improvising on the day.
Can we order this in a different colour or with a different handle?
Yes. The same fluted front runs in matt white, matt black, matt navy and warm oak as well as the standard matt sage green, and handle style, length and finish can be changed without altering the cabinet. Because the fluting is applied to a solid-core front rather than a thin veneer, colour changes do not change the profile, so a range built across several finishes still reads as one family on a showroom wall. Send us your colour references and we will match them on a sample front for approval before production.
What is the MOQ, and which documents ship with a UK order?
MOQ is 20 pieces per model, sizes and finishes can be mixed within one order, and samples are welcome before you commit to a run.
