800mm Sliding-Door Walnut Vanity — Two Doors That Never Swing Into the Walkway

In a Brazilian apartment bathroom the cabinet is rarely the problem — the door swing is. A 1.4 to 1.6m wide room, a shower screen at one end and a hinged vanity door means the door either hits the glass or leaves 40cm of standing space. This 800mm unit is built around that constraint: two full-height doors that slide on a top-hung aluminium track, so the entire 800mm front clears at once and nothing projects into the walkway. The carcass is 18mm MDF RU — the moisture-resistant grade Brazilian importers already specify by name — with sealed edges and a moisture-barrier back, because a bathroom in Recife or Manaus runs at 75 to 85% relative humidity for most of the year. On top, a 20mm quartz worktop with a ceramic undermount basin, cut to your tap and waste set-out before crating. A 20-piece OEM/ODM programme for Brazilian importers, bathroom retailers and apartment developers.

  • 800 x 460 x 500mm wall-hung box with the finished top at 850mm — dimensioned for the 1.4 to 1.6m wide bathroom typical of Brazilian apartments, where a hinged door cannot open past the shower screen
  • Two full-height sliding doors on a top-hung anodised aluminium track with a stainless bottom guide: the whole 800mm front opens at once, the walkway stays clear, and no door leaf ever projects into the room
  • 18mm MDF RU (moisture-resistant) carcass and door cores — the grade Brazilian importers specify by name — with sealed ABS edges, glued and dowelled corners and a moisture-barrier back panel
  • Walnut wood-grain PET laminate on both faces with a 2mm PVC edge band, matt and fingerprint-resistant, colour-matched to a supplied panel or to a RAL / NCS reference before the run starts
  • Slim 20mm anodised aluminium vertical pull recessed into the leading edge of each door, so the front reads flush and there is no knob for a towel to catch on
  • Soft-close damper on the closing travel of each door plus a brush seal in the top track, which keeps dust and splash water out of the runners — the one failure point on every sliding system
  • 20mm quartz worktop, 800 x 460mm, square edge with a 2mm arris and a 20mm upstand; 35mm tap hole and 45mm waste aperture cut and edge-polished to your plumbing set-out before crating
  • White vitrified ceramic undermount basin roughly 450 x 320 x 120mm internal, fixed with a stainless clip system and neutral-cure silicone — no overflow slot to stain and no rim to collect toothpaste
  • Blum soft-close hinges and runners are available as an option on the hinged variant built on the same carcass, with a cost-equivalent hardware set for entry price points
  • Optional matching mirror in the same walnut laminate at 800 x 800mm with a 22mm face and 5mm copper-free glass, hung on the same stud line as the cabinet, with an LED and anti-fog option
  • Steel hanging rail with adjustable hooks and a one-page wall specification covering ceramic block, drywall on metal studs and an 18mm plywood pattress — a loaded 800mm unit runs around 55kg with stone and basin fitted
  • Sized on the 800mm module with 600, 900 and 1000mm on the same tooling and the same 460mm depth; MOQ 20 pieces per model, with widths and the left- or right-hand opening direction mixed inside the 20
  • Flat-packed in a 5-layer carton with the quartz top crated upright in its own plywood case of roughly 56kg gross, so a damaged top never means a replacement cabinet

Product FAQ

Why sliding doors instead of hinged doors?
Because the constraint in most Brazilian apartment bathrooms is the door swing, not the storage. In a 1.4 to 1.6m wide room a hinged 800mm vanity either hits the shower screen or leaves too little standing space. Sliding leaves give the full opening with no projection into the walkway — and the front reads as one flush elevation when closed.
Is MDF RU actually waterproof?
No, and no wood-based board is. MDF RU is moisture-resistant: the green-core grade resists swelling far better than standard MDF, which is why Brazilian importers specify it by name. We add sealed edges, a moisture-barrier back and a sealed track recess. For a wet-room installation with direct spray, specify a full PVC body instead — we build both on the same door tooling.
Does the top track collect dust or water?
The track is recessed into the underside of the worktop with a brush seal running the full length, so splash water and dust are kept out of the runner channel. The doors lift out for cleaning and the track itself is a replaceable extrusion, not a machined groove in the carcass.
Can the countertop be granite instead of quartz?
Yes. Granite, marble and sintered stone are all available on the same carcass, cut to the same set-out. Granite remains the most common choice for Brazilian importers on price; quartz and sintered stone are specified where stain resistance matters more.
What widths can you produce?
600, 800, 900 and 1000mm on the same tooling and the same 460mm depth, with 800mm as the standard module for this programme. Any mix of widths can be combined inside a 20-piece order.
What is the MOQ for this model?
Our MOQ is 20 pieces per model, with sample orders welcome for pre-production evaluation.
