Is a floating warm-oak unit actually the right spec for Chilean retail?

Yes — in Chile the wall-hung format and warm oak are the two fastest-growing specification details, especially in new apartment blocks where the floor must stay clear and the finish must read warmer than the grey melamine that dominated a few years ago. That is exactly why we quote it as the default and not as an upgrade: a single shallow stone top over a fluted carcass keeps the unit slim enough for compact bathrooms, wipes clean in one pass, and pairs with the wall-mounted mixers Chilean buyers already specify. If your programme needs a stone or ceramic top instead, we run that on the same carcass and the same drawer fronts.

Will the finish survive a coastal or high-humidity Chilean bathroom?

Yes. The standard carcass is moisture-sealed plywood with sealed edges, which is what importers ask for on the spec sheet. Where the unit sits in a wet room, a shower room without a screen, or a coastal home in Valparaíso or Viña del Mar that runs humid year-round, we supply a full PVC waterproof body on the same front and drilling specification — so the water-facing parts change without changing the look or the fit.

Why are the drawers cut out at the back, and what does that save me?

The trap and supply lines have to go somewhere, and on a 460 mm-deep wall-hung unit that is the back of the top drawer. We cut the box to clear the plumbing rather than shortening the drawer or blocking it with a dummy front, so the drawer still runs full-extension and you keep the usable depth in front of the pipework. It is the difference between a vanity that stores what the drawing promises and one that does not.
