1800 mm Double-Basin Wall-Hung Vanity — Twin Thermoformed Basins, Warm Greige Lacquer

Australian family bathrooms are sized for two people using one basin wall at the same time, which is why the width ladder here runs past the European ceiling: 1500 mm is the entry point for a comfortable double, and 1800 mm is what actually lets two adults stand shoulder to shoulder without one of them waiting. Almost every imported range stops at 1200 mm, because a single 1800 mm carcass cannot be crated, lifted or carried up a staircase. This unit is built as two 900 mm modules that bolt together on site into one continuous top, so the width is real while the logistics stay sane.

  • 1800 mm W x 460 mm D x 500 mm H overall, built as two 900 mm modules joined by a concealed connector plate — each module stays under 25 kg and fits a standard 900 mm door frame on the way in
  • One-piece 20 mm sintered stone top spanning both modules with two thermoformed rectangular basins, 420 x 320 x 120 mm internal each, so there is no joint between basin and top and nothing to silicone on site
  • Matte warm greige PU lacquer at 5 degree gloss over an 18 mm MDF core, with a 3 mm shadow gap between the two modules that reads as a deliberate reveal rather than a seam
  • Four full-width push-open drawers, two per module, on concealed runners rated 35 kg dynamic — no handles means no projection into the walkway in a tight double-basin layout
  • Sealed 18 mm moisture-resistant plywood carcass with PU-sealed cut edges and an 8 mm barrier back panel, sized for Australian bathrooms that run humid through summer without mechanical extraction
  • Basin wastes positioned for a standard 32 mm Australian waste and P-trap, with the rough-in drawing supplied per module so the plumber sets the wall waste before the cabinets are hung
  • Blum soft-close runners and hinges optional; standard specification is push-open with a 5-year mechanical warranty; 20 pcs per model MOQ, mixed widths allowed in one container

Product FAQ

Why ship an 1800 mm vanity as two modules instead of one carcass?
Because a single 1800 mm carcass is a logistics problem before it is a product. At 460 mm deep and 500 mm high it will not pass a standard 820 mm door frame on the diagonal, two people cannot carry it up a staircase with a turn, and the freight cube is charged on the longest side, so a one-piece unit costs materially more to land than two 900 mm cartons. The trade-off is a joint, and we make the joint a feature: a 3 mm shadow gap with a concealed connector plate, levelled across both modules before the one-piece top is set. The top is still a single slab, so the basin and top surface read as continuous.
Does a two-piece top exist for this width, and when would I want one?
Yes, on request. A two-piece top with a joint at the module line is cheaper to crate and can be carried by one person, but the joint sits in the middle of a wet surface and needs a machined drip detail plus silicone maintenance. We recommend it only for projects with no lift access at all. For everything else the one-piece top is the better specification, and it is the default.
How does 1800 mm compare with 1500 mm for an Australian family bathroom?
1500 mm gives two basins but puts the two users about 600 mm apart, which means elbows and shared tap space. At 1800 mm each user gets a full 600 mm basin bay plus 300 mm of counter beside it, which is the difference between a double vanity that works every morning and one that works only when one person is away. The constraint is wall length: 1800 mm plus a clearance at each end needs roughly 2100 mm of usable wall, which most Australian main bathrooms have and most European ones do not.
Is a plywood carcass and matte lacquer the right choice in a humid Australian bathroom?
For a bathroom with an extractor fan run for 20 minutes after a shower, an 18 mm MR plywood carcass with PU-sealed edges holds up for the life of the fit-out; MFC or chipboard panels swell at the unsealed cut edges around drawer openings within two summers. Matte lacquer is the finish we recommend over a foil wrap in this climate because it can be repaired on site: a scuff is sanded and re-topcoated, where a foil that lifts at an edge cannot be fixed without replacing the front.
What does a 20-piece order look like, and what are the lead times?
Twenty pieces can be split across 1500, 1800 and 2100 mm widths and across the standard five finishes as long as each custom colour reaches 50 pcs. A typical first order is 20 pieces in 1800 mm warm greige as a trial, then a mixed reorder once the width sells through. Sample lead time is 7 to 10 days, production 30 to 35 days, and we ship FOB Ningbo or CIF to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
