700 mm Matt Putty Wall-Hung Vanity — J-Pull Drawers, Sintered Stone Top

UK bathrooms are the tightest in the size ladder: a 600 mm unit leaves no usable counter beside the basin, and an 800 mm unit will foul a 750 mm door swing in most Victorian terrace conversions. 700 mm is the width that sits between those two failures, and it is the one size the 600/700/800/900/1000 mm ladder offers that almost no imported range actually stocks. This unit is built for that slot: two full-width drawers on push-open runners, an integrated J-pull groove instead of handles, and a sealed plywood carcass rather than chipboard, because a UK internal bathroom runs at 70–80% RH for most of the year.

  • 700 mm W x 460 mm D x 520 mm H carcass (27.6 x 18.1 x 20.5 in) — 460 mm depth clears a 500 mm basin projection and keeps a 600 mm door swing, the two constraints that decide most UK en-suite layouts
  • Sealed 18 mm plywood carcass with PU edge banding and a moisture-barrier back panel — not chipboard, so the cabinet holds its shape at 80% RH where MFC panels swell at the cut edges
  • Two full-width drawers on concealed push-open runners, each with an integrated J-pull groove milled into the door face — no handles to drill, no handle holes to seal, and nothing to catch on a towel rail
  • 20 mm sintered stone top in warm white with a fine mineral speckle, factory-cut for a rectangular ceramic undermount basin and a single-tap drilling on request
  • Matt putty PU lacquer at 5° gloss, two-component polyurethane over an MDF door core — fingerprint-resistant and repairable on site, unlike a foil wrap that lifts at the edges
  • Blum soft-close runners and hinges optional; standard specification is a soft-close push-open system with a 5-year mechanical warranty
  • 5-layer export carton with moulded foam corners, basin and top crated separately; 20 pcs per model MOQ, mixed widths allowed within one container program

Product FAQ

Why specify 700 mm when 600 mm and 800 mm are the standard UK widths?
Because the two standard widths both fail in a large share of UK rooms. At 600 mm the basin takes the whole top and there is nowhere to stand a toothbrush; at 800 mm the cabinet plus a 500 mm basin projection starts to foul a standard 750 mm door swing in a terrace bathroom, and the door has to be re-hung or reversed. 700 mm with a 460 mm depth solves both at once, and it is a size most importers skip because the volume sits in 600 and 800. We run it on the same profile as the 600/800/900 mm units, so a retailer can stock the full ladder without a second tooling cost.
Is a plywood carcass really necessary in a UK bathroom?
Yes, if the bathroom is internal or has no extractor running long enough. UK bathrooms commonly sit at 70–80% RH after a shower, and a standard MFC or chipboard panel absorbs moisture at the unsealed cut edges around drawer openings and the back panel, then swells and delaminates within two winters. Our carcass is 18 mm moisture-resistant plywood with PU-sealed edges and an 8 mm barrier back panel, which is why we can offer a 5-year cabinet warranty rather than the 12 months typical of MFC ranges.
How does the J-pull groove hold up compared with a bar handle?
Better than a surface-mounted handle in a small room, because there is no projection to catch a towel or a hip. The groove is milled into an 18 mm lacquered MDF front at 20 mm from the top edge and 12 mm deep, then re-sealed with the same PU system, so the exposed core is never left raw. The trade-off is that a drawer with a wet hand will show fingermarks in the groove on a very light colour, which is why the standard putty and sage finishes use a fingerprint-resistant topcoat.
Can the top and basin come separately so we can fit a UK-supplied basin?
Yes. We can ship the carcass and top as a set with the basin cut-out left uncut, or ship the carcass alone and let your fabricator cut the top locally. Both options are priced on the same quote; the uncut-top version is the common choice for UK merchants who already stock a basin brand and want to keep the specification consistent across their range.
What does a 20-piece order actually look like in practice?
Twenty pieces can be split across sizes and colours as long as each colour reaches 50 pcs for a custom RAL match — below that we run from the standard five-finish palette. A typical first order is 20 pieces in 700 mm putty as a trial, followed by a mixed 600/700/800 mm reorder once the size sells through. Sample lead time is 7–10 days, production 30–35 days, and we ship FOB Ningbo or CIF to Felixstowe and Southampton.
