Tall Pull-Out Larder Unit — Narrow Pantry Cabinet with Soft-Close Baskets

The narrow gap beside the fridge is the most wasted space in a kitchen, and a shelf-only pantry is the reason. This larder unit fills it with a full-height frame of baskets that comes out to meet you: the whole frame rides on the door, so opening the door brings the baskets forward and every level is reachable without emptying the front to find the back. Soft-close full-extension runners, height-adjustable baskets rated for 40–50 kg each, and a 300 mm-wide carcass that turns a dead 300 mm into a full pantry. Built on the same carcass and door programme as the rest of our kitchen cabinets, so the larder matches the run it sits in.

  • Narrow pantry format — 300 / 400 / 450 / 500 mm wide carcasses that fit the filler space beside a fridge, oven tower or wall return
  • Full-height pull-out frame of 4, 5 or 6 baskets, matched to the cabinet height so the top basket stays reachable
  • Door-mounted pull — the frame rides on the door, so opening the larder brings every basket forward instead of stacking shelves you have to dig through
  • Soft-close full-extension runners as standard; cycle-tested for 50,000+ open/close cycles
  • Baskets rated 40–50 kg each, with height-adjustable positions so shelf spacing follows what you actually store
  • Chrome-wire or aluminium baskets — chrome wire for the volume programs, aluminium for a lighter frame and a softer finish
  • Carcass in 16–18 mm E1/E0 board or plywood with moisture-sealed edges; doors 18–22 mm matched to the rest of the kitchen
  • Left- or right-hand opening on the same carcass, so a run can be mirrored without a second tooling set
  • KD flat-pack with edge protection, or assembled with protected cornering for container programmes

Product FAQ

Why specify a pull-out larder instead of an ordinary tall pantry with shelves?
Because a shelf pantry loses its own depth. On a 300 mm-wide full-height cabinet you cannot see the back of any shelf, so the rear third becomes storage you own but never use. A door-mounted pull-out frame brings every level forward as the door opens, which is why the same 300 mm carcass reads as a working pantry rather than a cupboard. The trade is one mechanism per cabinet — and that mechanism is the cheapest capacity you will add to a kitchen.
How much weight will the baskets carry, and how long do the runners last?
Plan on 40–50 kg per basket, which covers tinned goods, jars, bottles and dry goods with margin. The runners are soft-close full-extension units cycle-tested beyond 50,000 open/close cycles, and because the frame travels with the door the load is carried on the runners rather than levered off a hinge. If your programme stores heavier items — bulk liquids, large glass — tell us and we specify the basket gauge and runner rating up from there.
Can the larder match the doors on the rest of the kitchen?
Yes, and it should. The larder is built on the same carcass and door programme as our other kitchen cabinets, so the fronts are 18–22 mm and come in the same finish family as the run it sits in. On a narrow unit we recommend a handleless front with a recessed pull: a protruding handle on a 300 mm cabinet either catches you as you walk past or forces the cabinet wider than the gap allows.
What is the MOQ and can we order a sample first?
Our MOQ is 20 pieces per model, and sample orders are welcome for pre-production evaluation before you commit to a full programme. We run a 20,000 m² factory and have supplied the world's top-10 building-material brands since 2009, so repeat kitchen programmes hold production slots.
